My Story
Chef Dakota Kennedy of Florida is the epitome of a culinary renaissance; his interest in food from all around the globe is as extensive as the ocean that surrounds his native state. Early in his career as a chef, he spent his days surrounded by the delicious fragrances and lively conversation of his mother, Shelly's restaurants. Although him being self-taught, Dakota's mother was his most significant influence and motivation, and it was under her watchful eye that he developed his character. Shelly, an Upstate NY restaurateur, taught him how food can unite and elevate people.
However, life frequently led to a challenging road with possibilities for self-reflection and rebirth. Mistakes and poor decision-making marked Dakota's early adulthood. Once a family obligation, Dakota's cooking today shows how great food may provide superficial but genuine joy.

Today, Dakota is more than a cook; he is a culinary alchemist who turns things into feelings and serves up meals that are good for the body and the spirit.
